General Intro
A set of useful maps for anyone cycling (or motorcycling/driving) around Taiwan. Though entirely in Chinese there is a lot of information that will be very useful for non-Chinese reading visitors, including: symbols for each bicycle station/convenience store/public toilet/gas station along the way (many, if not all, have special facilities for cyclists); clear numbering of roads; color coding, additional bike trails, and cheap homestays.
Also of interest are the distance markers and gradient charts - check out the charts for the cross-island routes! This set's 69 1:100000 maps cover in detail the standard entire around the island route plus alternatives on the East coast ( Highways 9 and 11), West coast (coastal/inland), and North (Taipei/North Coast). Three smaller scale maps cover the three (Northern/Central/Southern) cross-island roads. All held together in a ring binder. The outside packaging is supposed to convert into a waterproof carrying case - even comes with two zip ties for attaching to handlebars.
